The world is experiencing a hugemental health crisis, particularly affecting the youth. Blue Fever, known for its SMS-based AI-powered "Big Sister" Blue, needed to evolve beyond SMS to better serve its Gen Z users. We helped conceptualize and develop a more impactful future through research and a focus on mental wellness. Our aim was to create a social platform that fosters self-expression, positive peer support, and anti-toxicity measures, allowing users to feel seen and supported. The result was the Blue Fever co-journaling app, where users create anonymous profiles, join journals on emotional topics, and interact with the AI "Big Sister." The app has been highly successful, winning multiple App of the Day awards from Apple, raising an additional $7M, and experiencing exponential growth in users and content.
