In mid-2020, amidst the rise of COVID-19 and NFT mania, Polyform collaborated with the visionary RTFKT team, who foresaw the future of digital collectibles. Through our Discovery Process, we explored video game mechanics, augmented reality (AR), and digital fashion to create an innovative platform at the intersection of gaming, collectibles, and hype culture. Although the project, centered around collecting and evolving digital sneakers (NFTs) with AR minting/unboxing and virtual try-ons, was never released due to RTFKT's acquisition by Nike, it set significant trends in the industry. The collaboration led to the creation of NFTs that earned millions and paved the way for RTFKT’s CloneX project, securing their place as Web3 icons and Nike's newest house brand.
