After years of R&D partnership with Lululemon through Cognizant Softvision, Polyform founders faced a final challenge: transforming in-store “Community Boards” from chalkboards to intelligent service hubs without disrupting Lululemon’s calm store design. Traditional kiosks and screens were out, so we created a discreet tech solution. Before 2019, Lululemon’s Community Boards displayed local fitness info and required staff to memorize technical garment details. Our Discovery Process led to embedding tech in 4x6 wall-mounted mirrors, serving as personal shoppers and interactive concierges. Partnering with Virtual Visions, we developed 65-inch touch screens embedded in mirrors, managed via a central dashboard. Initially piloted in New York and Vancouver, the project expanded to 200 mirrors in 120 stores, achieving over 250K monthly interactions. This innovation coincided with Lululemon’s $500M acquisition of Mirror, now Lululemon Studio.
I was the Principle Product Designer for the Smart Mirror.
